FAQs

  Freshers(those having 2nd semester classes in June) whose semester started late can they participate?
  Yes, they can complete their activities by the end of 3rd and 4th week of June. Then after exams in July, they will be assigned to projects which they can complete by mid-september.
  Who can participate?
  Open to students from all programmes, all years, and all disciplines.
   Will there be doubt sessions ?
   Yes, Live doubts session will be held 3-4 times a week for around 1 hour each time.
   Will the workshop be treated as an internship ?
  Yes, completing the entire workshop, including completing all study topics, tasks and building the project will count as internship.
  What kind of sessions/phases will be there?
  There are two phase
  • Phase-I: Workshop: 1st June - 12th June, starting two weeks will be devoted to learning computational techniques. Topics would be introduced through pre-recorded video lectures, and activities (programming tasks) would be assigned. Students are expected to watch the lectures and perform the activities. Doubt session would be organized on need basis.
  • Phase-II: Internship: 14th June - 25th July, on successful completion of activities in Phase-I, projects will be assigned to student teams. The projects would be around the broad theme of social good. (Timeline vary for participants whose semester started late)
  Is registration fee is refundable?
  Yes, registration fee of Rs 1000/-(one thousand only) is refundable if the participant successfully complete the activities and projects as per phase-I and phase-II respectively, otherwise the collected fee won't be refunded.
  Is it online or offline ?
  Online
  Can you tell us who will be the speakers ?
  Pre-recorded Video lectures, study material, doubt sessions will be provided. In addition there will be keynote lectures by prominent researchers and industry experts.

  Is there any discount for ACM student members?
  Yes, ACM student members get a discount of 50% (Advisory,Executive and respective Subteams)
  Will there be extra time given to someone who can't keep up with timeline?
  If needed, first year participants will be given more time to do the activities(tasks), and projects will be assigned at the end of 3rd/4th week, and they can take 1/2 more additional weeks for project completion.
  When will I receive my certificate?
  Certificate shall be issued at the end of workshop-cum-internship to all participants which shall be valid for receiving the requisite credits for summer/industry internship as per University norms.
