ACM IGDTUW held the orientation for workshop-cum-internship on June 1,2021 themed 'Computational Techniques for Social Good'. The event was addressed by hon'ble Dr Amita Dev (VC IGDTUW) and hon'ble Prof A.K Mohapatra (HOD IT department IGDTUW). Dr Amrita Dev has been the Vice Chancellor of IGDTUW for over two years. She completed her BTech in Electrical Engineering, MTech in CS from BITS Pilani and Ph.D in CS from PTU. She is a beholder of several awards like the ‘National Best Teacher Award’ by ISTE. Prof A.K Mohapatra is currently working as an associate professor in IGDTUW. He earned his Ph.D in IT from GGSIPU, his MTech in CS from ISM Dhanbad. He has published over 24 national/international research papers. His teaching interests include cryptography, Network Security and Information Security. The trainees were inspired by the words of wisdom of Dr Amrita Dev and Prof AK Mohaptra and sought their blessings to excel in the summer workshop cum internship of 2021.
